So, you want to increase your readership, sell more books and grow your author platform?
Here’s what you need to do:
Read and write every day.
Period.
There is no secret to success as an author. It’s a pretty simple process. Definitely not easy – but simple.
The writing is important because, well, that’s your work. Without doing the work, you can’t get paid or accomplish anything.
Schedule your writing time in your calendar. Do at least 15 minutes a day. Build the habits of success one step at a time.
As soon as one book is done, move on to the next. Constantly be creating. Breaks and vacations are for people who hate their work. If you love writing, do it every day. If you don’t love it, you should probably find something you love to do and do that instead.
Reading
The reading is important because you have to feed your mind with new ideas and constantly learn more to become the best in your field. Only the top (most committed and dedicated, not the most talented) authors get paid well.
The rest have a big list of excuses. In their head, of course (they’re too busy to write it down).
