My manuscript is a nonfiction Christian book that highlights and clarifies doctrines that are widely acceptable and observed but which are contrary to the teachings of the Bible. The main aim is to help people find out the true biblical teachings from the Bible. I am ready to send my proposal to you. What are the steps to follow?
I am a published author of four books and now have a series of 27 books of reflections on Bible called The Alphabet of Life

( I AM) GOING TO BECOME A HISTORIC PUBLISHED AUTHOR AND WRITER. ( SAL T. COLLADO)( SALTY COLLADO) ( LIKE THE WORD OF GOD) ( SAL THE EVANGELIST)
I have self-published a book that has many faith-based overtones. A true story. ‘By His Own Blood’ Currently sold on Amazon. I’m looking for a publisher who can take the book to the next level. I would be happy to provide a manuscripts, hard copy or audio version.
I have written daily entries on a blog since 2006 based on readings from the One Year Bible and the One Year Chronological Bible. To date I have almost 5400 entries. What is the best approach to understanding if any on my writing could/should be published and if anyone would be interested in undertaking such a task?

Hey Sean, our list of Christian book literary agents might help!
Hi Cole, my co-author and I have come up with an excellent read which includes my dark encounter with a medical doctor back in the nineties, and we have also positively impacted our updated manuscript with messages relative to President Trump verses The Democrat House because we would very much like to see President Trump re-elected in 2024. I asked my co-author one day what he would say to someone wanting to know what our book is about and he responded, “It is a big wakeup call to the world”. I liked what my co-author had to say regarding our book which we consider is a must read to everyone worldwide. I’m having a problem with a book writing company known as Book Writing Founders and I am having them investigated by detectives to make absolutely certain they are a good, honest, and reputable company to publish our nonfiction biography book with or would you recommend a much better company to move our book forward to reach the entire worldwide with our book? Thank for your help on this most critical matter. Have a good day.
I have written a Christian based 7-book series couched in a secular setting, and the first of them is currently undergoing readings and editing. But I’ve had conflicting figure of what the realistic word count should be.
Is there a cap to the number of words a novel should have?
Awesome list! Thank you for your continued dedication to this! Thank you for all the time, patience, and love of God you put into this!
We’re so glad you found the list helpful, Deb! :)
Hello, I have a 90 day daily reflections with quotes kind of book I’ve just written ( aimed at the 25-55 bracket of those believers who have drifted away and equally those on the fringe who may step in to faith), mixture of biblical with some secular wisdom. Each page has a photo or two which loosely relate to the text….. around 22mb on pdf – would you suggest I submit a third, for example, to work within the 10mb limit or could I e mail the whole book via Swiss-link which is a rapid transfer download tool? many thanks
Hi Paul, I would check whatever the submission guidelines specify, or reach out to the publisher directly. If you’re submitting to us I would suggest leaving out the photos if the file is too large.
I am a Christian Book writer . Jesus helped me to write four Christian Children’s picture books ( Learn the alphabets with Jesus, A child in search of Jesus, A child in search of God and A child in search of the Holy Spirit) and a memoir Forgive & Love. Self published in India. We were able to sell more than 50,000 copies in India. Now we are looking for Christian publishers in USA and other countries. Looking for your valuable advice
Hi George, I’d suggest checking out the websites of these publishers and submitting to any that specialize in children’s/picture books :)
Who will publish a Christian novelette of 10,000 words that includes controversial issues today and choosing Christ?
Thank you!
Karen T.
I self-published a Christian Children’s book several years ago. Since that time, I have written a follow-up that is almost complete, only need to finish a bit of artwork. I would really like to find a traditional publisher for both – along with any others that come along in the future. I just want to share these beautiful gifts that God has given me with as many people as possible.
Hi Denise, thanks for your comment! If you look through the publishers on this list and their submission guidelines/wishlists, I’m sure you’ll find a good match :) best of luck with your book!
I self-published some Christian books in our local e-book publisher. I want a traditional publisher to publish it for wider circulation. Please do you have some advice?
Hi Jonah, depending on the genre of your book (is it Christian self-help, a devotional, a novel?) you can check out the publishers here and see which ones are looking for books that fit your genre!
Good day,
Please i need sponsor for publishing my books. Can i send the manuscript?
Hi Jane, what kind of books are you interested in publishing? Are you looking for an agent?
Well it’s good that publishers are really accepting and supporting the best Christian Authors around like Christian authors like https://www.keionhenderson.com/christian-authors ! This will help push their works to more people who really need to hear it!
Hi Don, yes, it’s great that publishers can help get out many important messages!
Is dancing with bear accepting submissions
This list is dated and doesn’t clearly define “Christian.” One of those listed publishes a book entitled “Mother God.”
Hi StPaul, thanks for your comment. I’ll review the list and make sure it’s up to date. And I believe you’re referring to Beaming Books, they were included because they publish bibles and devotionals.
Not only is Mother God a Christian book, but it includes a 13 page extensive scripture guide for readers to connect the content and illustrations to the Bible. Just because readers are lazy and don’t look into titles does not mean the publisher or author aren’t Christian.
Is there a traditional book publisher out there that has more of a niche in non-fiction books on repentance from adultery? Not only that, but also welcomes a newbie book writer? I promise you’ll like what I wrote! :)
Hi Katharine, I don’t know enough about these to recommend one specifically for that niche, but you can check out their websites and see if any have published anything similar :)
Do any of them publish books that discuss the subject of “speaking in tongues”?
Hi Dana, I really don’t know the details of each book these publishers have published, but you can check out their websites and search for the relevant topics you’re interested in!
I have utilized a self-publishing company to produce my sermons into paperback and ebook format. I would like to find a Christian publishing company that would help me with my next book of sermons.
Hi Rev. Chris, I think you should find a publisher on this list that might be interested in publishing a book of sermons. Just check out their websites and submission guidelines to see which each one specializes in.
I am interested in publishing a Sunday School series for teens. Is that something TCK would have interest in? I haven’t seen places that accept that kind of content. I am also thinking of adapting it into a book.
Hi Lisa, we definitely accept submissions for children’s books and children’s nonfiction, but we do not publish picture books. You can find more info on our submissions page. Let me know if you have any questions!
I am writing a coffee table Christian prose photo book covering several Christian themes and accompanying photographs. The themes, like Faith, Hope, Love…) are discussed from a biographical/autobiographical perspective with an invitation for the reader to consider their own perspectives of the same themes. The photographs contain scripture and a sentence sermon.
Thanks for sharing about your book, Kenric! I’m sure there are some good matches for it on this list :)
I’m interested in writing a book. It would be similar to “Tattoos on the Heart” I’ve been doing prison ministry for 23 years been to 77 different prisons and have a lot of stories to share with readers. I’m obviously not a writer so I’m looking for someone to write/publish it with. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi Steve, thanks for your comment! Sounds like you’ve got great material for a book. I would check out each publisher’s submission guidelines/wishlists (which we’ve linked to on this page) and see which ones sounds like they specialize in books like yours. We also accept submissions for such books. If you’re looking for someone to write it with, I don’t really know what to suggest, but you might want to join some writers’ groups to get to know other writers in your niche :)
Hi,
I notice you’ve directed some of the enquirers on this forum to other publishers, but you are a publishing house aren’t you?
Hi David, yes we are a publishing house and we do publish Christian nonfiction. We just like to make authors aware of the other options available to them, which is why I mention us but also other publishers :)
A great help and blessing that TCK gives to authors in writing such informative articles. I am a nonfiction writer from Nairobi, Kenya and have just completed my book manuscript titled, “Leadership that Transforms Churches into Powerhouses”. I would appreciate any help in getting it published.
Thanks for your comment, Muniu! if you’re interested in publishing with us, you can check out our submission guidelines and submit your manuscript whenever you’re ready :) Do you have specific publishing questions? I might be able to direct you to some resources
I’m interested in having work published. What are your steps.
Hi Doris, you can find detailed steps about how to submit a manuscript to us in our submission guidelines
I’ve written a series of articles about traditional holidays that I’d like to combine into a book, someday. I could try to self-publish, I suppose, but would love help from a publisher, if possible. I’m just looking into this now and really have no clue where to start.
The book would be a defense of traditional holidays, like Christmas, Easter and others. It would refute charges of pagan origins, and explain the symbols we’re so familiar with.
I don’t have a draft of the book, just 4 somewhat lengthy articles. If anyone has any advise for me, I’d be much obliged.
*advice (exactly why I could use the help of an editor)
Hey Brett! Looks like you’re currently in the middle of creating your manuscript. Once you’re done with the manuscript, you can look around for a developmental editor (or you can go edit it yourself). They’ll be able to take out a few kinks from your book, making it more presentable to the publishers. Ask for feedback from your friends and family too.
You mentioned self-publishing, so maybe our resources here, here, here, and here might be able to help you out once you’re already at that stage.
I have been reading up on TCK Publishing. You all are awesome! I know you do not publish poetry, however do you have poetry awards contests? I am also interested in publishing a poetry book. Do you have any recommendations for Christian publishers, focused, primarily, on poetry?
Hi Audrey, thanks for your kind words! We actually host a https://www.tckpublishing.com/2021-poetry-awards-contest/
every spring, and you can find a list of more contests here. I don’t know specifically which ones publish poetry, but I’m sure some from this list do. We also have a list of poetry publishers that you might find helpful! :)
Hello, Ms. Barron. Your replies to inquiries are most generous, so thank you in advance for responding to this one. I read somewhere that TCK Publishing accepts submission of Devotions. I have written one, but it is 750 words in length making it too long for many publishers. May I submit to TCK? Thank you.
Hi Mark, yes, we do accept submissions for devotions and Christian nonfiction. You’re welcome to submit your work for our consideration. You can find our submission guidelines here.
I am George .N.X, a Christian book writer from India, written one memoir & four Christian children picture books.sold more than 50,000 copies in India. Now looking for publishers in USA
Hi George, I’m sure there are some on this list that would be a great match! Just check out their submission guidelines and prioritize any that are particularly interested in memoirs or children’s books.
Hello…I really want to publish a book titled .. THE SEVEN KEYS TO BECOME A MAN AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART and I need your help now.
Hi Daniel, if you want to self-publish, you can check out this post. If you’d like to submit your book to us for consideration, you can find our submission guidelines here.
I am a Christian graphic designer/illustrator who just now stumbled upon your site. For decades I was the graphics department for the ministry of David Wilkerson, creating book covers for him, as well as other authors. Having read the comments associated with this site I am left with the impression that my skills may be of service to TCK Publishing. Please do me the honor of reviewing my online portfolio. It contains a lot more graphic samples than just book covers…but it does indicate my design skills. Thank you for your time.
Dear Tom
Could you please introduce me to a Christian publisher to publish my book.
Thanks
Daniel
Hi Daniel, we don’t know most of these publishers personally, but you can actually try writing a query letter (we have a post with tips on writing a great one) so you can pitch your book and increase your chances of success :)
Hi Paul, thanks for sharing your work. We’re not currently looking for a graphic designer, but we will keep you in mind for future opportunities :)
Do you publish Christian Devotionals?
Hi Jessie, yes, we are open to submissions for Christian books and devotionals.
Hi Kaely,
My name is Susana Collins. I am with Behold Israel. We would like to have more information about your publishing company. So, Behold Israel is a non-profit organization led by native Israeli Amir Tsarfati. Our mission is to provide reliable and accurate reporting on developments in Israel and the region.
Through our website, free app, social media and Amir’s teachings in multiple languages, we are able to reach communities worldwide. His teachings abroad and in the land explain the central role of Israel in the Bible as a blessing to the nations and a way to bring them to the Word of God and the Messiah.
Amir has written three books in English and we would like to translate these books into Spanish.
Hi Susana, you can find more info about our services here. Please let me know if you have any specific questions :)
I have written a crime thriller with strong christian themes. 70000 words. It is a take down of the prosperity gospel with a car salesman who starts a church. He makes money and scams people along the way. He has an affair with a staff member who later blackmails him. He is involved in money laundering and then he needs a hit man to deal with the blackmailer. At the same time as dealing with the dodgy prosperity movement a small gospel preaching church in the same city faithfully preaches truth so truth and error are put aside by side in an exciting story . The aim is for those people who are sucked into the web of the prosperity preachers or are on the edge to see the truth.
Thanks for sharing about your book, Neil! Sounds very interesting
Hello! Am evangelist Christiana from west Africa Nigeria, I need a traditional publisher I can be in partnership with and I will love to know if any is available.

Hi Vincent, yes, we accept devotionals. You can find more information here. We accept proposals with a synopsis, but if you have it I recommend submitting the full manuscript :)
Madam, I have written a book based on the Second Birth of Jesus Christ mentioned in the twelfth revelation of the Bible. The Second Birth of Jesus is the complete spiritual mystrey. The mystrey of the Second Birth of Jesus Christ tells the story of the only spiritual war that took place in this universe. The Bible also gives an accurate interpretation of when the mystrey of the Second Birth of Jesus Christ will be revealed to us.The mystrey of the Second Birth of Jesus Christ is the sign of Salvation that God gives to His people so that they may be saved from the horrors of the end this world as the world enters its final stages. The mystrey of the Second Birth of Jesus Christ is the Salvation that God gives to save His people from the horrors of the coming end of the world, just as God asked Noah to build an ark to save them from the great flood of the end of Noah’s times. Can you help me publish this Book?
Hi Alex, we accept submissions of Christian nonfiction, you can see our submission guidelines here. You can also try any of the Christian publishers on this list :)
Hello!
I have a quotation book with quotes from famous and non-famous authors, mixed with my own quotes. I need help with formatting and publishing. Thanks for reaching out to me.
Lynn
Hi, our manuscript has been accepted by Wipf and Stock, novel writing. But they want money for the typesetting, and we would have to take care of the editing and formatting. Is this normal procedure? Greetings
Hi Jeff, I don’t know anything about them, but I checked out their About page, and they say “Our staff handles every step of publication in-house, from customer service to editing and typesetting.” If they are asking you money for those services, they might be operating as a vanity publisher, which should generally be avoided. This article explains it pretty well. Just make sure you do your research on the company and have a really clear understanding of what the deal is before proceeding.

Hi,
I have 2 books I self published. Book one is a faith based poetry book on the different aspects we go through in life. The 2nd is a faith based self application work book about releasing the junk we carry around in our minds and hearts. Scripture from Psalms is utilized. I am self promoting locally currently and am interested in seeking options to expand my exposure in hope of reaching readers. Can you advise or suggest a path to explore to see if what I write fits what is being sought by publishing companies? Thank you.
Hi Kim, I would start by sending out some query letters to explain the concept of your book and see if there is interest. You could also check this list and review submissson guidelines to see which ones are looking for poetry and/or interactive workbooks.
Hi there,
Im looking to publish a children’s christian story book and looking for someone to help me with that. I have done illustrations but need someone to help me digitalize them and also distribution etc. Im looking for the whole deal and someone who is honest to work with first timers . Thank you
Hi Felix, unfortunately we don’t publish picture books, otherwise I would suggest submitting your book to us. I would take a look at this list and see which ones are currently accepting children’s/ picture books and take it from there, keeping in mind that smaller/independent publishers will most likely be more hands-on and willing to provide support :)
Hello everyone ! I published a photo book , About the fırst 7 churches . It also contains information about cities , and there are letters from the revelation section .The book is ready now. I need a publisher , This is my first book and I don’t know much . Help me
Hi Poyraz, I would start by going through this list and reviewing the wishlists/types of books these publishers accept. Not all accept photo books, so that should help narrow it down for you, and you can send some query letters or submit your work from there :)
I am finishing my second book; Killing Pain. This one is all about my personal addiction to Oxycontin and then heroin, detailing how it happened, the hell it brought me through, and the self-detox I went through that almost killed me. In the end, I met Jesus in a profound way, freeing me from decades of alcoholism and addiction. It is powerful, painful, brutally honest, and offers a way out for all addicts . The opioid pandemic has raged throughout this covid pandemic, taking lives hourly, but has been completely forgotten except by those millions stuck in its grip. I became a Licensed drug and alcohol counselor in California, CADC-1, and Interventionist, now I am a counselor in Washington State working for the Spokane Tribe of Indians for HHS. John Halpern, MD, Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School called me a “beautiful writer”, and says he never calls anyone a beautiful writer. This book will change lives. I’m estimating it to be at least 400 pages.
Thanks for sharing about your book Robert, it sounds like it will be a very inspiring read!
Hi
Betty Chambers – January 26,2021
My two books of Poetry are very enjoyable.
Your spirit will be lifted and you will be
encouraged. These Books inspired by
God were written to be shared and to
soothe your soul.
Hi Betty, thanks for sharing! Unfortunately, we don’t currently publish poetry books, but I’m sure some of the publishers on this list would be very interested :)
Attention Authors!
I’m a former publisher and was also an international writer for some of the popular Christian venues/outlets. I don’t own a publishing house anymore and I’m currently not working for one.
This is for those of you who will NOT take the traditional publishing route. Sometimes this path isn’t for you as an author.
If you are going to pay for a publisher (vanity publishing) then consider going directly to
Ingram Book Distribution
Ingram Content Group is the largest book distributor on earth. I’ve dealt with books within their system for over 20 years.
Lighting Source
Lighting Source is the largest book POD/Offset Printing system in the USA.
Lighting Source (printer) and Ingram Content Group (book distributor) both combined make up Ingram Spark. Ingram Spark is the LARGEST book trade printer and international book distributor on earth. You DON’T need a publisher to go to them.
Ingram Spark.
Ingram Spark is where you, the author, can go to in order to print and distribute your books worldwide.
How do you get your book “out there”?
The distributors (Ingram Content Group) will handle communications with bookstores and “getting your book out there”. Making your book available online, purchasable within bookstores is what the distributor will do for you. This is NOT what publishers do. I am a former publishing owner and to be upfront here, most “vanity” publishers (what they now call “self publishers”) do a horrible job with actual book marketing. With over 20 years of experience in the publishing and writing industry I can tell you that you, the author, will always be the best marketer.
Don’t be afraid to by-pass publishers in order to go directly to Ingram/Lightning Source (Ingram Spark). They are easy to set up and will give you the same discounts and benefits of most of the other
Some of this got cut off for some reason.
Most of the other publishers. Ingram Content Group is Rome- All roads (books) lead to Rome (Ingram Content Group). Hope this helps. Happy writing and publishing.
Hi Andy, thank you for sharing your insights! You make very good points that I’m sure will help many authors trying to decide between self-publishing or traditional (or even paying vanity publishers). We’ve also elaborated on some of the differences in this post and our post on traditional vs. self publishing
Thank you for this invaluable information. I learnt a whole lot from here.
I an a creative writer and looking forward to getting my collection of short stories, poems and devotions-journals (all Christian themed) published.
Not having information clearly written out has been a ‘blocker’ for me. Like I get discouraged at the thought, “after writing how do I get publishers to accept my manuscript?”
Hi Maryann, it may not be as difficult as you’d think, especially if the publisher accepts unagented submissions. Make sure you carefully review their guidelines, write a compelling synopsis, and check out this post on mistakes to avoid.
I have manuscript on Marriage. It is a bible base work. I need a publisher to look at it.
Hi Ayo, we accept submissions for spiritual/religious manuscripts. You can read more about our guidelines here, or try one of the publishers from this list :)

I write short stories and would like to summit them to a publisher. I would have to send them through the mail or fax them as I don’t have a computer.
Have some of your books from TCK Publishing been selected by Choice Books to be featured on their racks?
Hi Lionel, no, I don’t believe we’ve ever worked with them.
I have scripture narration experience. I also have experience as a writer and producer of radio commercials. I am very much interested in narrating Christian books and materials. I am very much willing to provide audition recordings for prospective publishers. Can you help me make contacts with Christian book publishers?
Hi Joe, I would recommend starting with this list and emailing the ones you’re interested in to let them know about your services and availability. They might not all be looking for a narrator right now, but when the time comes, they’ll have your info and will remember that you reached out. For more audiobook-specific tips, you can also check out this post: https://www.tckpublishing.com/how-to-become-an-audiobook-narrator/
I am confused. These publishers are not accepting unslicited manuscripts.
Hi Fran, thanks for your comment! This list contains a mix of publishers who accept unsolicited manuscripts, some who require an agent, and some who don’t accept unsolicited submissions. At first glance, I see the first two are accepting unsolicited submissions.
Good Day
My name is Precious and have written a Christian memoir. Iam a first time writer and looking to get it published
You advice and guidance will be highly appreciated
Hi Precious, I would start by finding a few publishers from this list who might be interested in memoirs, then send them a query letter along with your manuscript (once it’s been edited and in the best shape possible).
New Growth Press also currently accepts submissions. They have about 400 books from well-known and lesser-known authors. New Growth Press (NGP) publishes gospel-centered, Bible-based materials that provide churches, families, and individuals with resources for personal and spiritual growth and change.
Hi Robert, thanks for sharing! We’ll check them out and add them to the list :)
Hello Robert, do they have an email that you can share? Thanks.
Hey Kathleen, here’s their contact info if you’re still looking.
I have a short story that was previously published online – kind of a book club of writers, no money involved. Would TCK publishing consider this story for publishing? Further details, strong Christian values, not really intended for children, though a child is one of the main characters – also, fantasy/fiction, allegorical. Really intended for young adults to adults who’ve known deep emotional pain. Thank you!
Hi Jeannie, thanks for your question! Unfortunately, we do not currently publish short stories. But your story does sound very interesting! If you have an idea for a longer manuscript or would like to publish a collection of related stories, you’re welcome to submit it to us :) Please let me know if you have any questions!
Ms. Kaelyn Barron,
What Traditional Christian Publishing House do you represent. Is there an email I can contact you via?
I am an editor for TCK Publishing! We are not exclusively a Christian publisher, but we are open to nonfiction Christian submissions. You can check out our submission guidelines, or if you have questions, you can contact [email protected].
Have a book I’d like to get published from a traditional publisher. It is a spiritual love story that speaks about a resilient love that could give hope to people losing hope in how love can save the world. I’d rather be able to sell my book to a company willing to pay me for my work, not the other way around. Thank you!
Hi Linda, thanks for sharing about your book! Most large, traditional publishers don’t charge fees, but they do take a large chunk of royalties, sometimes leaving you with just 15%. Smaller publishers might offer you more. For example, TCK Publishing splits royalties with our authors 50/50, and we don’t charge any fees for our services. We will be reopening our fiction submissions shortly. If you’re interested, you can check out our submission guidelines. Or, since you’re interested in traditional publishing, you can read more about the process here. Please let me know if I can help answer any questions :)
